Georgie lives happily on a ranch in the suburbs of Sydney, Australia, with her parents and her two older brothers, Abel and Arthur. However, she is actually the daughter of a transported convict who was found and taken in as a baby, and the bracelet on her arm is the only keepsake from her real parent. After her father dies and a quarrel with her mother reveals the secret of her birth, Georgie sets out alone for England in search of her real father and Lowell, the young man she fell in love with at first sight.
