In Japan, humans and “ayakashi” coexist.
Ayakashi—supernatural beings blessed with exceptional abilities and striking beauty—play a central role in society.
Among them, those with great power can instinctively find their destined “bride”, and being chosen as such is considered a great honor and a source of admiration among women.
Yuzu Shinonome, an ordinary high school girl, has grown up constantly compared to her younger sister Karin, who has been chosen as the bride of a fox spirit. Because of this, Yuzu is neglected by her own family.
One day, after her heart finally breaks, Yuzu meets a man of extraordinary beauty by chance.
“I’ve found you—my bride.”
His name is Reiya Kiryuuin, an oni who stands at the very top of the ayakashi hierarchy. From this encounter, Yuzu’s fate begins to change dramatically.
